AERA 2013 – Education and Poverty: Theory, Research, Policy and Praxis Forum for German-speaking educational research in the USA
From April 27 until May 1, 2013, 15 educational science groups from Germany, Austria and Switzerland presented their work at the Conference of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in San Francisco. A platform for co-operation and information talks was provided by International Cooperation in Education (ice), a service unit of the German Institute for International Educational Research (DIPF). “At the biggest and most relevant conference for educational research in the USA, we will present a broad scope of work conducted in German-speaking countries and seek opportunities for co-operation“, said ice-co-ordinator Dr. Jean-Paul Reeff. The research teams were involved in diverse fields, e.g. educational effectiveness, pedagogy of economics or medical didactics. For instance, they came from the Universities of Flensburg, Göttingen, Mainz, Potsdam and Salzburg (Austria).
